Perhaps on its own, nothing exceptional about this image, but when viewed along with this image bit.ly/ro0AWn
It makes for an interesting comparison, both images taken at the same garage / Gas station

"Seventies"
The little pump nozzle is about 2 inches long and all made of polymer clay! (same for the question mark)

If it is close to the middle of the month then it is time to start my 4th year of collecting gas price data.
Ten cents a litre higher than the start of 2011 back a year ago. What will the future bring?

It looks as though the year will end with a few month's consistency in prices, though up $0.14 for the year.
I find it interesting that, from what I have been told, gas prices do not factor into the Canadian cost of living calculations. At a more than 10% increase, I know that even as little as I drive here on our Sunshine Coast it does add to the expense of living.

This attempts to explain how the gasoline discount program at Kroger works. 400 points = 40¢ per gallon discount. We buy gas and food anyway and this gives us an additional incentive to shop at Kroger. (We already get 10% off Kroger brand products just because we are old.)

We got a discount of 40¢ per gallon on this fill up. Regular price was $3.159 on this day.

Woo hoo… gas prices stayed the same. Well, I'm not totally sure that is something to hoot about, specially since they are much higher than last year or the year before!

Down a couple of pennies per litre this month… at least for Regular which is what I fill my Miata with. Todays bill was just over $42.
I remember the days when I was first driving and we had full service. At that time you told the gas jockey to, "Please give me $2 worth of regular." Then you were good for the weekend.

Down a few more pennies. And, I couldn't help but show the blue sky for the first time in a while and some of the youngsters out enjoying it.
